Kind and shape of Oroku Comb

A lot of the kinds exist though it is called generically "Orokugushi" in the Yabuhara. Oroku Comb is roughly divided into four kinds by the usage and the function. In addition, it is classified in detail by each shape, the size, and the difference, and the name is given.

Suki-Gushi

It uses it to comb the dirt such as dust and dandruff that adhere to the hair because it removes it. Comb to clean hair.
One per one of the hairs can be combed in detail with 0.5mm or less at intervals of teeth. The surface of the hair is beautifully straightened, and there is an effect of putting out original luster.
After the war, the production of SUKIGUSHI decreased rapidly by spreading and making the shampoo a custom.
The size of the comb is about 9cm-13cm . The numbers of teeth are 29-42 every 3cm.

Tokash-Gushi

It uses it to unpick the doing Japanese coiffure, and to arrange the hair. Comb with a little rough teeth. It is a comb in modern daily life to do the styling, and most of the comb generally used is this type.

Sashi-Gushi(Kazari-Gushi,Nuri-Gushi)

Alias "Ornamental comb".After doing the Japanese coiffure,the disorder of the hair is straightened, and it uses it for the hair ornament.
Intervals of teeth are a little wider than that of Suki-Gushi, and the number of teeth is about 15 to 25 every 3cm.

Yui-Gushi
|
Comb used in traditional Japanese Hairstyles such as Japanese coiffures and Chonmage.
It was chiefly supplied for the haircut profession such as Kamiyui and barbers.
Still, it is traditionally used for sumo wrestling and maiko's hair stylings.
